A pair of evening peak hour loco hauled trains to Hereford survived the cull of such services in May 1982 until replaced by HSTs in 1989
The ex GWR Pagoda waiting huts survived at Appleford until replaced by bus style shelters around 2005

Postmarked 23rd March 1917, but the image seems to date from before the war. The message on the reverse reads -

My Dear Rose
Just a word to go along with the others & to let you know I am going on alright & will write you a letter to night when I return to camp, for it is our late Sunday. Shall not have ???? until 7 o'clock.
Hoping you are well.
