There's some handwriting on the reverse side of the print – see below. The car is registered in the West German city of Bonn. Country of origin: Germany
Little House Hochosterwitz, Carinthia, Austria I spotted this little old house looking down from the top of Hochosterwitz castle. It looked rather forlorn there in the middle of a huge corn field. A map indicated that at some point this was part of the castle grounds. View on Fluidr | All My Photos on Fluidr
Castle in the Mist Hochosterwitz, Carinthia, Austria Hochosterwitz Castle (German: Burg Hochosterwitz) is considered to be one of Austria's most impressive medieval castles. It is situated on a 160 m (520 ft) Dolomite rock in the state of Carinthia. The castle mountain has been lived on since the Bronze Age and the castle was first mentioned in 860. Since 1571, the castle has been in the hands of the Khevenhüller family. In 1586 it received today's shape and appearance. The castle is one of the state's landmarks and on a clear day can be seen from about 30 km (19 mi). Unfortunately it wasn't a clear day and with the low lying clouds we were actually joking around that we may not even see the castle as it may be behind clouds. And that's what happened when we got there in the morning... well, almost. As we turned a corner on the narrow, twisty and windy road... there it was... wow! Stopped the car... ran across the street... set up the cameras... realized I need a longer lens... ran back to the car, changed lenses... ran back... started to set up... the clouds moved in and the castle disappeared behind them.
