The castle of Ampudia is a medieval fortress built in the fifteenth century and considered 'the best castle' in Palencia. The castle is in a magnificent state after the careful restoration undertaken in the '60 by Eugenio Fontaneda.
The interior is home to the Eugenio Fontaneda Collection, distributed in six rooms: Archeology, Sacred Art, Toys, Weapons and Musical Instruments, Pharmacy AND Ethnography and Popular Arts.
